This structuring is a source of tension, with subtle struggles between doctors, nurses and administrative staff over the division of responsibilities, organization, hierarchy and task distribution.

In fact, the hospital’s organizational chart features a complex structure of different functions.

The hospital is administered by a Board of Directors, headed by a Director who is assisted in his duties by  five (5) heads of department with different specialties, namely the Administrative and Financial Department (SAF), the Management Control Unit (CCG), the Accounting Agency (AC), the Nursing Department (SSI), the Human Resources Department and the Social Service Department (SS).

  • The Administrative and Financial Service (SAF), responsible for financial, material and technical management, drives and coordinates the activities of seven (7) divisions:
  • Finance Division : This division is responsible for patient reception and care organization, transfers between departments, patient accommodation control and patient billing. She keeps the revenue accounts.
  • The CommissaryDivision : This division is responsible for hospital supplies, excluding drugs and pharmaceutical products, as well as the hotel and garage functions. She is also responsible for the administrative management of expenditure, the awarding of contracts and the maintenance of the Materials Account.
  • The Health and Safety Division : This division is responsible for monitoring health and safety in the workplace.
  • Hospitalization and Outpatient Care Division : This division is responsible for tracking patient files from hospitalization to discharge.
  • Security and Malicious Behavior Division : This division is responsible for internal security and controlling access to and from the hospital.
  • The  Maintenance Department  This department is responsible for the smooth running of the hospital’s equipment. She takes part in drawing up contracts and assists the Head of the Finance and Administration Department in prospecting and acquiring equipment for any requirement.
  • The Management Control Unit (CCG) is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of the control system and the management information system, on behalf of management and through a set of performance indicators.
  • The Social Service (SS) is responsible for designing and implementing the facility’s social and health programs for users, staff and partners.
  • The Accounting Agency (AC), in addition to collecting revenue, settles expenditure on behalf of the Treasury and under the authority of the Director.
  • The Nursing Department (SSI) is responsible for organizing and evaluating nursing care, and guiding the training of nursing staff. Nurses are the epitome of dual allegiance: they  report hierarchically to hospital management and functionally to the nursing organization.
  • The heads of medical and surgical departments are members of the CME. They manage the activities and organize the technical operations of their respective departments, while respecting the responsibilities entrusted to them by the Director and the medical responsibility of each practitioner. They define the general organization, the measures to be implemented to develop the quality of care and their evaluation.
  • Department Supervisors They assist the department manager in his tasks. They are responsible for patient administration and record-keeping, carrying out doctors’ prescriptions, and assisting interns and trainees in their training. They are also responsible for monitoring patient nutrition, in particular meal distribution.
  • The Pharmacy Department headed by a Doctor of Pharmacy  is responsible for logistical support, the supply and dispensing of medicines to medical departments, and the supply of consumables, pharmaceutical products and reagents to diagnostic support services.
  • Logistics Quality Department  The role of the Logistics Quality Department is to ensure the quality of the hospital environment by implementing a sound hygiene policy. He also acts as garage manager, looking after vehicle maintenance.
