Saint-Louis Hospital in Senegal is celebrating the complete renovation of its Bacteriology Laboratory, a project made possible thanks to the financial and technical support of the Fleming Fund. This modernization brings significant improvements to the laboratory’s infrastructure and equipment, optimizing services for patients and the community.
Renovation work covered all aspects of the laboratory, including partitions, plumbing, benches, electricity, tiling, toilets and air conditioning. In addition, the office furniture and medical equipment have been completely renewed, ensuring a modern, functional working environment for staff.
This transformation was made possible by the dedication and expertise of Prof. Seynabou Lo and her team, who worked closely with the Fleming Fund to oversee and manage the project. Their commitment to improving the quality of bacteriology services within the hospital is an inspiring example for all healthcare professionals.
The renovation of the Laboratoire de Bactériologie at Hôpital de Saint-Louis marks an important milestone in the modernization of the facility’s installations, and testifies to the ongoing commitment of staff and partners to improving healthcare services for the population.
